Brand film for My Modern Oasis, a Wicker Park showroom of hand-picked vintage pieces, plants, and objects made in their own studio. We filmed the owner and the space he built around one belief: your environment shapes your state of mind.
MMO is a store you feel before you understand. Tin ceilings, warm brick, candlelight, and foliage everywhere. The film moves the way the showroom does: slowly, warmly, letting the owner tell the story in his own voice while the space does the convincing.

Pre-production
The story was found in conversation before a camera came out. Walking the showroom with the owner surfaced the thesis of the film: your environment shapes your state of mind. The interview was structured around that belief, and the b-roll plan followed the way the store actually reveals itself, tin ceilings, warm brick, candlelight, and greenery in every corner.

Production
Shot inside the store with natural and practical light only, keeping the warmth of the space intact. The owner told the story in his own voice while the camera moved slowly through vintage pieces, studio-made objects, and plants, treating the showroom as the second speaker in the interview.

Creation & Deliverables
A brand film built for the shop's site and social channels, plus portrait photography of the owner in the space. The film gives a small Wicker Park business the kind of storytelling usually reserved for national brands.
